Monkfish or angler fish as it is sometimes known looks a very fearsome fish out of the water. With its large jaw and teeth that it uses to snap up prey by luring with its antenna on top of its head. The flesh is very versatile and can be similar to lobster for its texture. Sometimes when I catch a particular large monkfish I display the head for interest. It is normally snapped up as the flesh in the head is excellent for soups.
